Closing and exits

The P&L on the line is what CLOSE pays. Close by hand, or set take-profit, stop-loss or a trail and walk away.

CLOSE and Reduce

CLOSE sells your whole position back to the Window's book in one tap, at what the position shows — or a little below it, within the close tolerance in Trade settings. Reduce sells 25, 50 or 75 %. If the book has moved further than the tolerance, the sale asks again at the new price rather than fill worse. "Closing…" shows the instant the sale is signed. A Window that has locked can't be sold into; it settles.

Take-profit, stop-loss, trail

  • Take-profit sells when what CLOSE pays rises to your target.
  • Stop-loss sells when it falls to your floor.
  • Trail arms once the price is the trailing distance past break-even. Its stop only moves your way, and it closes when the price comes back to it.

On a wallet position these run in your browser while Mitoshi is open, and a trail needs one-tap on to sell without a prompt. A Boost closes from its own row with your passkey; trail and TP/SL don't run on it.

With the app closed

On a Trading Balance position, one passkey confirmation grants Mitoshi's keeper an EXIT permission. When your exit triggers, the keeper sells whether your tab is open or not.

Exits that run with the app closedMitoshi

You grant a sell-only permission once; the keeper decides when; the vault decides the lowest price.

Trading Balance

A vault you own on Tempo that holds money and positions for you. Deposits and withdrawals are yours; proceeds of every sale land back in it.

AUTHORITY BOUNDARY

Only the owner withdraws. Intake is never fee-sponsored.

Live on Moderato since 2026-10-09: a stop-loss sold by the keeper 20.6 s after it triggered, with the tab closed. An exit fills only against a bid that is there.

  • The floor. Every keeper sale's limit must be at or above the Window's fair value at a signed RedStone spot, less the wider of 15 % of it or 10¢ — the allowance the app grants. The contract refuses anything wider than 20 % or 15¢, and a sale under the floor reverts.
  • No bid, no sale. If no bid meets the floor, the keeper waits and tries again until the Window locks, rather than sell lower. The terminal shows its last reason ("Keeper waiting: …").
  • Where it applies. The floor comes from the fair-value guard, which has a volatility and a signed spot for every series, crypto and stocks. It refuses to price a Window it has no model for, and with no floor the keeper cannot sell.
  • The house's side. The house keeps its exit side quoted until about 30 seconds before a Window locks.

Every EXIT grant lasts 30 days and is listed in Account & keys; Stop revokes it on chain.

On 9 October a CI run armed a stop-loss on SOL from the terminal, closed the tab, and the keeper sold it 20.6 s after it triggered: 0xa5dd…36aa. An exit is a sale into a real book: it fills only against a bid that is there.
